Cow Feed Production Line in Algeria

This cow feed production line has been running smoothly for six months. Alfalfa can be difficult to process, and I was initially worried about potential clogging, but actual continuous production has been very stable. The manufacturer handled the on-site installation, provided hands-on operational training, and offers reliable after-sales support. Producing my own cow feed has significantly cut costs, and there has been a noticeable improvement in the cow’s feed intake—I highly recommend it!

Project Overview

Сountry:
Algeria

Investment Cost:
$160,420 USD

Product Demand:
Cow Feed Pellets

Production Capacity:
1.5-2 Tons Per Hour
Raw Materials:Alfalfa hay bales measuring 1 m in diameter and 1.2 m in width. The hay is naturally field-dried before being baled.
Product Requirements:Produce cow feed pellets with a diameter of 4-6 mm.
Packaging Specifications:Packaged in bags. Each bag weighs 40 kg. Sealed with thread.
Capacity Requirements:Stable production capacity of 1.5-2 T/H, with continuous and stable operation capability.
Level of Automation:The bale-breaking and shredding stages require manual feeding, while the finished product packaging stage requires manual assistance for bagging. All other processes can operate automatically.
Core Needs:The client requested a complete design proposal for a cattle feed production line and required us to take full responsibility for equipment manufacturing, transportation, installation, commissioning, and operational training.
Customized Cow Feed Production Line in Algeria
This 1.5–2T/H cow feed production line in Algeria is designed for pre-dried alfalfa. The overall process flow consists of bale breaking and chopping, buffer storage, impurity removal, grinding, dust removal, pelleting, cooling and screening, and finished product packaging. The system operates as a single continuous production line featuring a streamlined, compact equipment layout, making it ideal for small-scale feed processing plants.

1
Batching Section:
First, a loader delivers dry alfalfa bales into a disc-type bale breaker to break them apart while simultaneously cutting the long alfalfa into shorter lengths. The chopped alfalfa is then piled in a temporary storage area for further drying and moisture stabilization.
2
Magnetic Separation & Crushing & Dust Collecting Section:
A loader transfers the chopped, short alfalfa into a small 2m³ buffer hopper, ensuring a stable and uniform feed rate to prevent clogging caused by inconsistent feeding into the pulverizer. The material first passes through an iron remover to capture metal debris—such as wire and nails—thereby protecting the hammer mill and the downstream pellet mill.
The hammer mill further pulverizes the short alfalfa to the fineness required for cattle feed pellet production.
The pulverizing process is equipped with a cyclone and pulse dust collection system. This system uses negative pressure to capture dust generated during the operation, thereby improving the workshop environment and meeting environmental protection standards.
3
Pelleting Section:
Qualified alfalfa meal is conveyed to a buffer bin to ensure a steady feed supply to the cattle feed pellet machine. The material undergoes steam conditioning—which enhances plasticity and eliminates pathogens—before being formed into cylindrical pellets through powerful extrusion.
4
Cooling and Crumbling Section:
Freshly formed cow feed pellets are hot and soft; they must be fed into a cooler to rapidly lower their temperature, increase pellet hardness, reduce moisture content, and prevent mold growth.
The cooled pellets drop into a screening machine located beneath the cooler, which separates the qualified pellets from fine powder and fragments. The screened-out fines are recycled back into the pelleting process, thereby improving raw material utilization and minimizing waste.
5
Packaging Section:
Qualified cow feed pellets are conveyed to the finished product silo and quantitatively bagged, completing the finishing process.

Our Turnkey Project Service Process
RICHI Manufacture carefully figure out exactly what our clients needs. With that in mind, we offer full one‑stop services for their cow feed production line in Algeria. We don’t just sell standard machines; instead, we tailor the whole solution specifically for them. From understanding their exact needs at the start to providing long‑term after‑sales support later on, we help our clients stay competitive for years to come.
Tailor‑Made Project Solutions
First we look at your material, how many tons you need per hour, and what your site looks like. Then we send you a full plan — the process flow, the equipment list, the layout, and how much output you can expect. It’s made for your plant, not a copy-paste.
Equipement Manufacturing
Once you’re happy with the plan, we start production right away. Every machine gets tested before it leaves the factory — empty run, loaded run — so you’re not getting a lemon. Critical wear parts can be supplied with the complete machine, reducing the hassle of sourcing spare parts later.
Logistics and Delivery
We provide optimized transportation solutions tailored to the equipment’s dimensions and destination. We handle packing and reinforcement, moisture-proof protection, customs documentation, and cargo insurance coordination, with full tracking throughout transit to ensure safe and punctual delivery to the customer’s site.
On-site Installation & Commission
Professional engineers can be dispatched to the site for installation guidance, or remote video guidance can be arranged. After positioning, we carry out power-on commissioning, parameter optimization, and trial production to make sure the equipment is stable and ready to run upon arrival.
Operation & Maintenance Training
We provide operation manuals and video materials, and offer on-site or online training for local operators — covering startup, parameter adjustment, routine maintenance, and common troubleshooting — helping customers get up to speed quickly and independently.
Warranty & After-Sales Support
We offer a one-year warranty; during the warranty period, we provide free on-site repairs for any non-accidental malfunctions. We also conduct regular inspections and ensure a long-term supply of spare parts to guarantee stable, long-term production.
