How the Straw Pellet mill Works
The working principle of a straw pellet mill is a continuous process that transforms loose straw into high-density pellet fuel or pellet feed through physical compression.
First, the crushed and conditioned (e.g., moisture-adjusted) straw feedstock is fed into the pelletizing chamber. Inside, the rotating ring die drives the rollers to forcibly compress the material through the dense, regular holes on the die.
During this process, the material undergoes intense frictional heating under high pressure, causing the inherent lignin to soften and act as a natural binder.
